A friendly team that has your back. You’ll become part of our race family. Feel Like A Pro will host one dinner during each race weekend, typically Saturday night. Feel free to bring a side, beverage, or dessert to share with your new team. We may go on a track walk if there’s enough daylight.
Fees for your races and license are in addition to your motorcycle rental. Let us know if you have questions about how to register for races or what races you are eligible to enter.
You’ll need to rent or buy your own transponder.
The Protection Plan is available for the Friday track day, but NOT available for the race rounds, which means you are responsible for all damages. We will do our best to repair your bike and get you back out on the track as soon as possible.

You will be riding an all-new Kawasaki Ninja 400. The Ninja® 400 offers the largest displacement in its category at 399cc with the sophistication of twin-cylinder power. Approachable power, superb ergonomics, and class-leading performance offer a smooth, manageable ride that's ideal for new riders while also alluring experienced riders.
The American Federation of Motorcyclists, AFM, is a non-profit California corporation that was founded in 1954 by a group of sport riding enthusiasts in the North Bay Area. It is the oldest racing organization in the country dedicated solely to motorcycle road racing.
Northern California has one of the largest populations of sport riders in the country. Many of those sport riders find their way from the area’s mountain and canyon roads to the AFM and the race track. Many of them, after a season or two on the track, cut back or quit street racing when the relative safety of pushing their limits on the track becomes clear.
A typical AFM race day will see three to four hundred racers, which will account for up to 700 total race entries. Each new racer is required, before entering a race, to pass an AFM approved NRS from one of these providers, Carters@theTrack, Z² Track Days or Pacific Track Time.
Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts, Rich Oliver, Steve Rapp, and Tony Meiring are a few who've raced with AFM.
AFM holds events at Thunderhill Raceway Park, near Willows, CA (off I-5 north of Sacramento), and Buttonwillow Raceway Park, near Buttonwillow, CA (off I-5 south of Bakersfield). Both courses are interesting and quite different... most racers really enjoy these new tracks.
On race days, awards are given to the top finishers in each class and the top novice rider. Points are tabulated towards Season Championships.
Many classes also have contingency or sponsor monies offered by various manufacturers, businesses, or shops. AFM's premier event, AFM's Formula Pacific Challenge... the fastest riders on the fastest bikes... also has prize and contingency monies.
AFM welcomes spectators and racers alike and tries to provide the best show possible with the safest and most responsible crew you are likely to find. AFM is a volunteer organization and is always looking for interested people to join in the fun.
